This course is designed and delivered by two highly experienced professionals who bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to their work with children and families.

Eimear Allen is a Registered Intellectual Disabilities Nurse with extensive experience supporting individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities both on a professional, and a personal level. She has worked within a specialist team providing mental health and behaviour supports for children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, using a Positive Behaviour Support approach.

Eimear is a qualified trainer and has developed a range of professional and personal development courses for families and professionals. Through both her professional work and personal experience, she brings a compassionate, family-centred approach focused on real-life strategies that support parents in everyday life.

Jo Delree is a highly experienced Learning Disability Nurse and academic, specialising in neurodiversity and supporting behaviours that challenge. With over 25 years’ experience in the field, Jo has held senior academic roles, including Associate Professor and Head of Division for Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing.

Jo now works independently, providing education and support to professionals, parents, and families. Alongside her professional expertise, she brings valuable lived experience as the parent of an autistic son and as part of a neurodiverse family, offering insight that is both practical and deeply understanding.

Together, they combine extensive professional knowledge with real-world experience to provide supportive, accessible, and practical guidance for parents navigating autism.

This comprehensive course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge, confidence, and practical strategies needed to effectively support autistic individuals across a range of settings. Aimed at teachers, Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), early years educators, and allied health professionals, the training provides a clear, strengths-based understanding of autism and its impact on learning, communication, behaviour, and wellbeing.

Participants will explore key aspects of autism, including sensory processing differences, communication variations, executive functioning, and emotional regulation. The course emphasises a neurodiversity-affirming approach, recognising and valuing the unique strengths and perspectives of autistic individuals while addressing common challenges in educational and support environments.

Our Manual Handling Course is delivered by QQI certified trainers. This course is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and attitude to carry out manual handling tasks in a safe manner. Manual handling is a mandatory course in a range of different industries and workplaces, this is due to the volume of injuries reported every year due to poor manual handling practices. Our trainers are here to help you and your employees learn how to reduce the risk of developing an injury whilst carrying out manual handling tasks at work. This course can be carried out online or in person. We can also attend your workplace to deliver this course for groups of 4 or more.
